NRG announced on November 21, 2016 that it intends to resume development work on the Dunkirk, NY Gas Addition Project as soon as possible, based on the dismissal of Entergy Corporation’s lawsuit challenging the Dunkirk contract with National Grid.

NRG has reengaged key project stakeholders including NY PSC, National Grid, National Fuel Gas Company, the NYISO, and Empire State Development. Assuming they confirm their previous commitments to the project – which we believe they will and which are critical to the project’s development – NRG can move forward. Construction will take about 24 months once required permits and approvals are in place.

NRG genuinely appreciates the unwavering support of the Dunkirk and Chautauqua County communities.
